and it is great!
They might have a cheeper on that only does mp3s....

I would recommend Audacity as well, it's free, easy to set up, works with Mac, and depending on the soundcard can record streaming audio.

Sun, May 4, 2008 - 6:49 PMOn the far right of the toolbar, there's a drop-down menu for your input - set it for stereo mix, and that should record whatever you're hearing coming out of your speakers. -

Tue, May 6, 2008 - 3:50 PMOut of curiosity, I just now cracked open my Audacity 1.2.5, running on my Mac OSX 10.4.9... and it cannot capture streaming audio. And I looked all over and tried many options and preferences, but no go.
So I went to the audacity website, and buried in a list of features page, found this line:
"With some sound cards, it can also capture streaming audio."
So... there ya have it, as I understand it. Not a standard feature, but requires "some sound cards".

Sat, May 10, 2008 - 2:26 PMYes, and Audacity....while it is tough to argue with free....is not the easiest thing to work with. I found it a little unintuitive and it doesn't always react the way you want it to. But that FREE thing keeps coming up.
