for the past few years i've been relying on tube preamps to warm up my recordings, but i've decided to venture into the world of class A solid state, and i'm left wondering what i can do to keep that signal warm.
am i mistaken in thinking that solid states (in this case, a vintage replica of the quad 8 pres) are colder?
what are the various remedies to a cold signal?
thank you!
