Is it possible to run windows on a g4 laptop? My wife's is atleast 5 years old, and we need to run a PC only software on it. Any possibilities?

Nope. Windows only operates on Intel and AMD chips. Pre-Intel Macs use PowerPC chips. The only way to run Windows on those machines is to use VirtualPC, which is an emulator that runs within the Mac OS. It's very slow.
